Top 3 Young Indian Cricketers who can surpass Virat Kohli's Test century record
Virat Kohli has been exceptional so far while playing for India in his illustrious career. The man holds a lot of records in his career but the major one he is chasing right now is Sachin Tendulkar's 100 international centuries. As far as his Test career is concerned, Virat Kohli has hit 29 tons so far, which is the fourth-highest among Indians and highest among active Indian cricketers.
Having said that, this Indian team has seen some wonderful young talents rising and performing brilliantly. These youngsters have impressed everyone with their knocks and look very promising for the future. Virat Kohli might be guiding a couple of these players himself to do better in the future. However, some of them might break Kohli's Test record in the future. Here, we take a look at the young Indian Players who might be able to do -
Yashasvi Jaiswal
Yashasvi has been phenomenal ever since he started playing red-ball cricket. With an experience of just eight matches, he has already broken and made more than a couple of records. With an astonishing average of 69.35 in 15 innings, he has slammed three centuries - all of which are above the scores of 150 and even two of them are double centuries.
If he maintains himself well, he might not just break Kohli’s record of centuries but his record of double centuries as well. The brand of attacking and impactful cricket he plays, Jaiswal could be the next big thing in the Indian Cricket.
Shubhman Gill
Crowned as the Prince of the Indian Cricket, Shubhman Gill is seen as the successor of Virat Kohli. He has already been exceptionally successful in the One Day Internationals but has not been able to do the same in the Tests so far.
However, he has been improving recently in the format as he smashed a brilliant ton recently. He has a mediocre average of just 37.30 playing 24 matches but the skill-set he holds, he is expected to do a lot better in this format. He is a player to keep an eye on across formats.

Sarfaraz Khan
The newest addition to the Indian Test Team, Sarfaraz had a brilliant debut where he created a record. He is only the fourth Indian batter to score a twin fifty i.e. a half-century in each innings of the game during Test debut. He is coming to the Indian team after some sensational First-Class seasons where he has slammed runs for fun. In a total of 68 innings of 46 First-Class matches, he has scored at an average of 70.91 and already has 14 centuries to his name.
In his debut, he looked very calm on the pitch giving the signs that he belongs to this stage. With solidity in the middle-order and a long rope given to him, he might go on to break Virat Kohli’s records for centuries in Tests.
