Four army personnel, including two captains, lost their lives in the operation, with three more soldiers sustaining injuries.</p> <p>Singh, in a statement on X on Tuesday, expressed his plans for the visit, stating, "Tomorrow, 27th December, I shall be in Jammu and Rajouri." The Defence Minister's visit comes as part of the government's response to the incident, with additional troops being deployed to reinforce the counter-terror grid in the region, PTI reported citing sources.</p> <h3><span style="color: #ba372a;"><strong>PM Modi to Speak to Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra Beneficiaries</strong></span></h3> <p>In a bid to connect with beneficiaries of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to engage with them on Wednesday, at 12:30 PM via video conferencing. The Prime Minister will also deliver an address during the event.</p> <p>Launched on November 15, 2023, the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra aims to achieve the saturation of government flagship schemes, ensuring timely benefits for all targeted beneficiaries across the country. Since its initiation, Prime Minister Modi has maintained regular interaction with the beneficiaries. The upcoming virtual engagement marks the fourth interaction, following sessions on November 30, December 9, and December 16, 2023. Additionally, the Prime Minister engaged with the beneficiaries physically during his visit to Varanasi on December 17-18, 2023.</p> <h3><span style="color: #ba372a;"><strong>NCP To Begin Four-Day 'Shetkari Akrosh Morcha' in Protest Against Centre</strong></span></h3> <p>Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) MP Supriya Sule has declared a four-day protest, named 'Shetkari Akrosh Morcha,' starting from December 27 in Pune, Maharashtra. The demonstration is aimed at highlighting the challenges faced by farmers and registering dissent against the central government's handling of the agricultural sector.</p> <p>In a video message posted on X, Sule stated, "It's time to unite against the dictatorial central government who is doing injustice to our farmers." She urged citizens to join the protest, which will kick off from Shivneri Fort in Pune and conclude at the Collectorate. The NCP MP accused the central government of declaring an undeclared emergency and undermining the constitution.</p> <p>As part of the preparations for the protest, NCP MP Amol Kolhe met party supremo Sharad Pawar at his Pune residence on Tuesday.</p>
