The council, comprising the states of Bihar, West Bengal, Odisha, and Jharkhand, will address several critical issues during the day-long meeting. The agenda includes discussions on the minimum price for various minor millets, infrastructure development, and water-sharing. Chief Ministers from the respective states, along with two senior ministers and officials, are expected to participate. The Eastern Zonal Council discussions are anticipated to cover significant decisions such as equalising the minimum support price of certain minor millet crops, releasing the National Framework for Sediment Management in 2022, and addressing various regional concerns.</p> <h3><span style="color: #ba372a;"><strong>Kejriwal and Mann to launch Doorstep Service Scheme in Ludhiana</strong></span></h3> <p>Arvind Kejriwal, the national convener of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann are set to launch a new citizen-centric scheme, 'Bhagwant Mann Sarkar Tuhade Dwar,' on December 10 in Ludhiana. The scheme aims to provide 43 services at the doorsteps of citizens, including certificates for birth, marriage, death, income, residence, caste, and more. Malwinder Singh Kang, the chief spokesperson of AAP's Punjab unit, outlined that almost all government services, excluding arms licenses, Aadhaar cards, and stamp papers, would be covered under this initiative. People can schedule appointments by dialing the helpline number '1076' and get their work done efficiently under this scheme.</p>
