India's G20 Sherpa, Amitabh Kant, highlighted the excellent participation expected from leaders, despite reports of China's President Xi Jinping skipping the virtual meeting. Kant described the virtual summit as a rare and exceptional occasion for Modi to interact with world leaders for the second time during India's G20 Presidency before passing it on to Brazil in December.</p> <p>Speaking ahead of the summit, Amitabh Kant stated, "The virtual summit of the G20 being held tomorrow will also be a major gathering of world leaders since the conclusion of the 78th Session of the UN General Assembly and the SDG Summit", as quoted by news agency PTI.</p> <p>Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin had previously skipped the G20 Leaders' Summit in New Delhi in September.</p> <h3><strong><span style="color: #ba372a;">President Droupadi Murmu to Launch National Education Campaign in Odisha</span></strong></h3> <p>President Droupadi Murmu is scheduled to launch the National Education Campaign &ndash; New Education for New India in Sambalpur, Odisha, on November 22. The campaign, organized by Brahma Kumaris, aims to promote education initiatives for a new and progressive India. President Murmu will also grace the 42nd convocation of Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning during her visit to Puttaparthi.</p> <h3><strong><span style="color: #ba372a;">Assam Day Celebrations at India International Trade Fair</span></strong></h3> <p>Assam Day will be celebrated on Wednesday at the ongoing 42nd India International Trade Fair (IITF) 2023 at Pragati Maidan. Bimal Borah, Assam's Minister for Industries and Commerce, Public Enterprises, and Cultural Affairs, will be the chief guest. The celebrations will feature cultural dance forms such as Satriya, Jhumur, Hajong, and Bihu, along with performances by renowned artists Bhrigu Kashyap and Ridip Rankit. The event aims to showcase Assam's rich cultural heritage, diversity, and government initiatives like 'one district, one product' and the promotion of GI products.</p>
