Singh was arrested by the anti-money laundering agency on October 4 in relation to the case.</p> <h3><span style="color: #ba372a;"><strong>2-day Punjab Assembly Session Commences Today</strong></span></h3> <p>The two-day Punjab Assembly session, commencing on Tuesday, is anticipated to be a contentious affair with opposition parties aiming to question the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government on various issues, including law and order, illegal sand mining, and the state's debt, PTI reported. The Bhagwant Mann-led government is set to present three Money Bills during the session - the Punjab Fiscal Responsibility and Budget Management (Amendment) Bill, 2023, the Punjab Goods and Services Tax (Amendment) Bill, 2023, and the Indian Stamp (Punjab Amendment) Bill, 2023. The Punjab Canal and Drainage Bill, 2023, is also expected to be tabled.</p> <h3><span style="color: #ba372a;"><strong>UP Assembly's Winter Session to Start Today</strong></span></h3> <p>The Winter Session of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly, starting on November 28, will see the implementation of new rules prohibiting members from bringing mobile phones, banners, and posters into the House, PTI reported. The session, concluding on December 1, will prioritize women members in speaking during the session as part of the Yogi Adityanath government's commitment to women's empowerment. The changes, including the ban on mobile phones and other items, were approved in the previous session.</p> <h3><span style="color: #ba372a;"><strong>SKM's 3-day Protest: Farmer Leaders to Present Memorandum to Punjab Governor</strong></span></h3> <p>The Samyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM) banner-led farmer leaders are scheduled to meet the Punjab governor on Tuesday to address various demands. The farmers are urging the Centre to guarantee the minimum support price (MSP) legally. Among their demands is the withdrawal of cases filed against them during the 2020-21 protests against the now-repealed farm laws, compensation and jobs for family members of deceased farmers, debt waivers, and pensions.</p>
