In the 2019 World Cup, Pakistan ended their campaign in the round-robin stage, ending up in the fifth spot on the points table with five wins and three losses in nine games. After three matches in the tournament, the Men in Green clashed with Australia at the County Ground, Taunton.

On the batting surface, Pakistan won the toss and invited the Aussies to bat first. Riding on David Warner’s 107 (111) and captain Aaron Finch’s 82 (84), the Men in Yellow posted 307 runs on the board. Chasing 308, the Green Army capitulated on 266 runs in 45.4 overs.

Asif Ali didn’t have a great day on the field as he dropped the Aussie skipper Finch and Warner in the game. When the Pakistan stalwart dropped the southpaw, the cameraman focused on a person named Muhammad Sarim Akhtar, who looked completely disappointed with Asif for missing the chance. The match clip made Akhtar an internet sensation overnight as content creators used the famous video for memes.

India started their World Cup 2023 campaign with a scintillating six-wicket victory against Australia at the MA Chidambaram Stadium. The match will be remembered for KL Rahul and Virat Kohli’s batting heroics. Riding on Kohli’s 85 off 116 and Rahul’s 97 off 115, the Men in Blue emerged victorious in their opening contest.

Along with these two India batters, another personality attracted a lot of attention in this match. Daniel Jarvis also known as Jarvo 69 broke into the ground which led to the involvement of Virat Kohli along with the ground staff to escort him out of the field. Following this incident, the International Cricket Council (ICC) banned Jarvo from the entire World Cup 2023.

Jarvo has earned the reputation of being a notorious pitch invader. Back in 2021, the English cricket enthusiast strived to invade the pitch during the fourth Test match between England and India at the Oval. Jonny Bairstow, who was batting on the field, scolded Jarvo for the infamous act.
